Nottingham Forest get a second chance against Leeds United on Tuesday night, just three days after losing to the same opposition in the Premier League.
Anton Stach’s late free-kick settled the 1-0 defeat at the City Ground. Nottingham Forest will now have the chance to respond in the EFL Cup, with a place in the third round at stake this time around.
The Reds will be keen to put the weekend defeat behind them.
Forest created opportunities against Leeds but couldn’t turn them into a goal.
James Trafford was particularly brilliant on the evening, earning himself Leeds fans’ player of the match for his debut performance. Then, with the match looking like it was heading towards a draw, Stach produced the winning moment for the visitors.
Morgan Gibbs-White won’t be involved after picking up an injury during Saturday’s match. Ryan Yates and Nicolo Savona are also still unavailable.
There could be some changes elsewhere in the team. John Victor is expected to start in goal, while Ousmane Diomande could make his Forest debut after being left on the bench for the Premier League opener.
