Nottingham Forest confirmed lineup vs Leeds United

Nottingham Forest are set to begin another important Premier League campaign with Oliver Glasner in charge, and attention turns to the starting XI he chooses for the game against Leeds United.

The Austrian has already shown that he is comfortable using a 3-4-2-1 system. It was the shape he relied on during his time at Crystal Palace, and Forest have continued to work with a similar setup during pre-season. That should give an early indication of how Glasner wants his new side to play.

Forest finished 16th in the Premier League last season after also having European football to manage. Glasner has now taken over from Vitor Pereira, who spent only a short period in charge, and there is plenty for the new head coach to improve.

Nottingham vs Leeds United: Key Stats

Glasner’s arrival also brings a strong record behind him. He previously won the Conference League, FA Cup and Community Shield during his time with Palace. Forest supporters will hope some of that success can be carried into his new role.

Pre-season offered mixed results for the Reds. Forest won three of their six matches and lost the other three, so there is still plenty of interest around how Glasner’s team will look when the competitive action begins.

There is also an interesting recent record to consider. Forest have won their last four home league meetings with Leeds and are unbeaten in their last 14 top-flight home matches against them, recording seven wins and seven draws. More broadly, however, Glasner will be looking to put Forest on a stronger footing after last season’s disappointing league finish.
