Oliver Glasner felt Nottingham Forest had lost two points after their 1-1 draw with Tottenham at the City Ground.
The Forest boss was particularly unhappy with the decision to rule out what would have been a winning goal, as well as the failure to award a penalty after a challenge involving Neco Williams.
Speaking to BBC Match of the Day, Glasner questioned whether the VAR intervention that disallowed the goal met the required threshold.
“It feels we lost two points today because I watched a few situations back and I think the goal must stand. It’s not clear and obvious. We have a briefing before the season that the VAR threshold should be high again when VAR intervenes and I think it was not clear and obvious.”
Forest should have won a penalty
Oliver Glasner was just as frustrated by the penalty incident involving Neco Williams.
“For me it is a clear penalty when Neco Williams gets fouled because [Mohammed] Kudus doesn’t even jump into the ball and when this situation happens anywhere on the pitch it is always a foul.”
It was a frustrating afternoon for Forest, who had to settle for a point despite Glasner believing the important calls had gone against his side.
“In these two situations we were not very lucky.”
The Forest manager did, however, give credit to both teams for the game that eventually ended 0-0.
“Huge fight from both teams and like last year every game is decided by small margins.”
Glasner accepted the draw, even though he felt Forest could have taken all three points.
“I think we had them today on our side but if there is a disallowed goal in such a tight game we have to take the point.”
