Daniel Munoz has explained why he was so keen to join Nottingham Forest after completing his move on Monday.
The Colombia international is the Reds’ fifth signing of the summer and arrives with plenty of Premier League experience. He also knows what it takes to win, having already lifted the FA Cup, Community Shield and UEFA Conference League during his time in England.
“I’m really excited and I can’t wait to get out on the pitch so I can help my new teammates achieve all the objectives for this season.”
Daniel Munoz sees Forest as a winning club
The 30-year-old was impressed by Forest’s ambitions and believes the club has the right mindset.
“This is a winning club. I think that when this is the expectation, the mentality, both for the management and the technical team, and for the players, this makes it special,” Daniel Munoz said.
Daniel Munoz also pointed to Forest’s recent European run as another reason for making the move.
“This is a club that’s fought hard in recent years, it has competed hard, it got to the semi-finals of the Europa League… I think it has even greater objectives for the future, and really this is what I like about Forest, and that’s why I decided to come here.”
The reunion with Oliver Glasner was another attraction.
Daniel Munoz previously worked under the Austrian at Crystal Palace, where they enjoyed a successful spell together.
“I think that Oliver Glasner is special, I have a very good relationship with him and we did big things together, it was an incredibly special period.”
